June's Story

I lived in Key West from 1956-1973. I moved to Jacksonville for my mom to finish college. I regret moving before my senior year.I graduated in 74. I stayed out of college one year to help my mom. After 2 yrs of college (Freed-Hardeman College)in Tn. I met and married my husband back in Jacksonville in 1977. He was in the Navy for 15 yrs. Our sons Eric (31),John (29), Adam (25).We were very busy with scouts and church and school. My first career was raising 3 christian young men. Eric bought his own house at 23. he got married. We have 2 grandchildren Adam Julius(4) and Christopher(1).April has recently filed for divorce. John and Adam have spent 6 yrs at Faulkner University-also a christian college. Adam will graduate in May. I sell fine jewelry for Belk and have for ten yrs. I love taking care of my grandsons. My love for libraries have stuck with me for a lifetime. It has taken a back seat. My mom and Martin live about 10 mins away and are doing well. Major changes,and challenges and adjustments are the normal at this point.
